About Us

Raast School was established in the year 2000 catering to the educational needs of the underserved children of Qayyumabad. The word Raast is derived from the urdu word “Raasta” meaning the “the way forward”.

Qayyumabad was a shanty town in Karachi plagued with pollution, poverty and a lack of resources. Our vision was to partner with the community and convince the parents of the power of education.

Through education and vocation, we wanted to empower the community to step out of the poverty trap and create a better future for their families.
